My new favorite blog, c'est magnifique!

I stumbled upon a blog recently that contains many beautiful photographs. Lots and lots of them. And each one is more beautiful than the last. The peacock above, for example, is just stunning and would make Flannery O'Connor proud. Here are some more examples:

The photographer/blogger is in France and all the words are in French but a picture is worth a thousand words. The blog, www.docsoultane.blogspot.com, is called “Le monde comme je l'aime,” which I think means “The world as I love it.” It would be well worth your time to check out the great photography there.

To any French readers, excusez mon Anglais, s'il vous plaît. Je parle Français seulement un peu.

  1. Thank you very mutch for your message !!! It's a great honour for me to have my pictures on your blog.
I am not a professional photograph and i have a modest material (a "bridge" canon S1IS- 3.2 mega pixels). Simply, I love the nature and the life and I know to see around me. Excusez à votre tour mon anglais déplorable... Amitiés et à bientôt.

  2. Votre anglaise n'est-ce pas déplorable--c'est charmant!
Yours is the first "international" comment on my blog, I think, and I am grateful and amazed.

My surname, Brague, I think must be French. My father and grandfather always said they were Welsh (from Wales in the British Isles) but I thought from a very young age that the spelling looked French and perhaps the name had come to Britain as early as the Norman conquest in the eleventh century. Just a couple of years ago, thanks to having a computer, I discovered there is a river named La Brague in Normandy. So my ancestors may have come from near there, I suppose.

Merci encore pour votre "blog incroyable."
