Mrs. RWP tried something new for Halloween...

She made a pumpkin cake! Well, actually she didn’t. She made a chocolate cake that looks like a pumpkin, which is different. Isn’t it? A pumpkin cake would be made out of pumpkin. Wouldn’t it?

Discuss amongst yourselves.

  1. Mrs. RWP's cake is lovely in appearance and, I'd venture to say, delicious! Is there any left?

  2. Mmm... there's something that doesn't quite fit here. I know! Chocolate is brown or perhaps white but NOT pumpkin coloured! Did Lady Brague use your head as a template?

  3. Mrs. RWP is very creative. It looks fantastic. And HUGE. I'd have loved to see a slice of it. I'd have loved to taste it even more.

  5. I see that I have confused most of you. The flavor of the cake was chocolate, not pumpkin. It only looked like a pumpkin. The flavor of the frosting was vanilla. It (the frosting) was only colored/coloured orange and green during the cake-making process.

And now, as Paul Harvey used to say daily on his radio program, you know the rest of the story.

  6. To answer Pat in Arkansas, NO! There isn't any left! We took it originally to our church's monthly fellowship (potluck) dinner (last Sunday of every month), where about half of it was consumed. Then we gave the other half to our son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons who made the rest of it disappear rapidly.

To answer Y.P., my head is still intact, and there is not a trace of pumpkin anywhere. (You make me laugh; you make Mrs. RWP seethe. I think I understand British humor/humour better than she does. You are being humorous/humourous, aren't you? I sincerely hope so, for your sake.)

To Mountain Thyme, richies, and Carolina, I thank you and Mrs. RWP thanks you!

Maybe Putz was the only one who was confused.
