May I just say...

Happy birthday, Jerry Ragsdale, wherever you are...

  1. I found 38 Jerry Ragsdales on White Pages (is there a collective noun for Ragsdales?) and six of them were in Georgis, but I can't say I'm any wiser.

  2. The one I meant was someone with whom I worked for about 15 years. He retired in 1995 or 1996, and he's probably still where he always was (Conyers, Georgia) but we have not kept in contact.

Interesting that you found 38 of them and six in Georgia.

The plural of Ragsdales would be Ragsdalesim, as in cherub/cherubim, seraph/seraphim, and so forth.

  3. Wasn't he the banker in "The Beverly Hillbillies"?

  4. Snow,, you're thinking of Mr. Drysdale (and, I'm sure, his lovely assistant, Miss Hathaway)....

  5. There is a Jerry M Ragsdale in Conyers. Is his wife called Lillian?

  6. I don't think my Jerry M. Ragsdale is married. Lillian may be his mother; it's an old-fashioned name.

  7. I can think of a couple of Lillian's who might take offence at being considered 'old-fashioned', although you're right.

Anyway, all I did was a Google search that led me to this Jerry Ragsdale on whitepages.com which gave an address and phone number that I won't repeat here, buit why not give him a call?
