With apologies to George and Ira Gershwin, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Bublé, and the entire entertainment industry

A snowy day...

...in Canton town

It had me up...

It had me down...

I viewed the morning...

with alarm...

The Stone Mountain carving...

How long, I wondered, could this thing last?
But the age of miracles hadn't passed
For suddenly I saw YOU (my blogging friends) there
And in snowy Canton town the sun was shining everywhere!

  1. These are beautiful wintry pictures. I love the carvings on the mountain. I know there are those who want to destroy them but I feel this is a part of our history and should be proudly displayed.

  3. Lovely house! The carvings are part of history I'd say and there's nothing to be learnt if we destroy it because some people want it destroyed I reckon. Enjoy the festivities! Did you get your card yet? I just want to check they've all got where they should get. x

  4. You forgot to take a picture of the snow angel you made while you were out sledding and gathering up clean snow for your snow ice cream treat with Mrs RWP! Tsk, tsk. Oh, well, you can take one tomorrow when you get your inner tube out and take on a few hills!

  5. Speaking as an unbiased, neutral and fair-minded international observer I find it surprising that those confederate heroes have not been dynamited from the face of Stone Mountain. More prosaically, your neighbourhood looks lovely in the snow. More like Switzerland than The Peach State.
