Two of you knew the answer and two of you didn't. I couldn't begin to hazard a guess as to whether such a 50-50 split might be indicative of the world at large. rhymeswithplaguehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10870439618129001633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286321024842109960.post-69296728120096855492016-04-22T23:42:18.334-04:002016-04-22T23:42:18.334-04:00I saw "He said, "Delores,...." on A...I saw "He said, "Delores,...." on Adrian's sidebar and had to investigate. I have a song associated with the birth of each of my four children and Slip Sliding takes me to the arrival of my second daughter, in 1977. That and Nana Mouskouri's version of Bridge over Troubled Water but that was accompanied by a prayer that my little girl wouldn't be just a sweet, inoffensive pretty face and warble on about troubled waters. Amazing how a song can hold so many memories. And, of course, Paul Simon ia a genius.Paulinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15276284964859313257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286321024842109960.post-20801236252670071522016-04-21T23:57:41.685-04:002016-04-21T23:57:41.685-04:00Ok, so I actually know "Love's Old Sweet ...Ok, so I actually know "Love's Old Sweet Song", but have no idea what Delores has to do with anything. I quite like the name Lydia and it was one of my suggestions for daughter's name, but it was vetoed by Mrs P, all because of Groucho Marx.Shooting Parrotshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07503757845024102476noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2286321024842109960.post-57471303339053040412016-04-18T05:54:10.599-04:002016-04-18T05:54:10.599-04:00Y.
