President Obama used the funeral service of Senator Daniel Inouye (1924 - 2012) of Hawaii at the National Cathedral in Washington a few days ago to talk about himself.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Eid, or nothing at all, surely you agree that a eulogy should not be about oneself.

Though I am an Obama fan, I must confess that some of the content of the eulogy was inappropriate - forgetting to focus fully on the deceased.
