Sometimes it’s okay, even advisable, to change horses in midstream

Today is the birthday of Catherine of Aragon (1485) , Ludwig van Beethoven (1770) , Jane Austen (1775) , Margaret Mead (1901) , Liv Ullmann (1938) , Sir Arthur C. 1. I found your letter to Santa almost heart-breaking Bob. Surely there have been times in the last year when you have been good. If nobody else gives you a gift please send me your bank details and I shall send you twenty bucks so that you can purchase a KFC chicken bucket to eat alone at the nearest KFC drive-in.

  2. Poor, poor Mr RWP. Only coal in your stocking this year, apparently. Well, look on the bright side. It's almost New Year's Day and you can start all over with all those resolutions....
Of course, maybe that's what went wrong THIS year?.....
No doubt Mrs RWP has been fabulous and gets a brand new truck for Christmas...yes?

  3. Buying my own stuff has a LOT of charm. I will like what I receive, and I will probably be grateful for it too.
And happy birthday (past and/or present) to that remarkably disparate group.
