Hello, world! This blog began on September 28, 2007, and so far nobody has come looking for me
with tar and feathers.
On my honor, I will do my best not to bore you. All comments are welcome
as long as your discourse is civil and your language is not blue.
Happy reading, and come back often!
And whether my cup is half full or half empty, fill my cup, Lord.

It’s a free country and I can post whatever I like, whenever I like, or not
Today I liked this:
A wise old owl sat in an oak.
The more he saw, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard.
Why can't we all be like that wise old bird?
I’m sure you know what an owl looks like, so I am not going to insult your intelligence by publishing a picture of one. If, however, you really, really would like to see many, many pictures of lots and lots of different kinds of owls, click here.
Knock yourself out.
And then, after you don’t care if you ever see another owl, read this.

ReplyDeletePutz, I meant, of course, as long as it doesn't offend prevailing community standards (obscenity), doesn't advocate the violent overthrow of the government (sedition), is within reason (not beyond a shadow of a douby, but by a preponderance of the evidence), and so forth. In other words, you are absolutely right.

Hey! Lay off the bourbon on American Independence Day! By the way, England will consider taking those colonies back into the fold. All we require is an apology.
ReplyDeleteOwls are beautiful birds.

Why am I not on your followers' list?! This has happened a few times now. I go to my Blogspot page to see who has posted recently. After I haven't seen a single post by a given person in a LONG time, I'll go to their blog, and sure enough, they've posted, and, sure enough, I'm not listed among their followers. I DON'T GET IT! I KNOW when I've quit following someone, and I'm not paranoid to think that all these people are kicking me out! I will go right now and add myself back in. If you ever find me AWOL, let me know because it won't be by my choice.
ReplyDeleteGood day to you, RWP. Thanks for sharing the information about foreign burial grounds. I knew of some of them, but not all. I never cease to be amazed at the variety of information to be gleaned from reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteForever in peace may you blog!
They didn't have a picture of our more-pork owl.
