...and you wanna know something? It ain’t over. Not until January 6th, when it’s Epiphany.
Here is the funniest, saddest, most poignant, most hilarious radio skit I have ever run across. It’s “Family Christmas,” complete with scripted sound effects, from Garrison Keillor (one of America’s treasures) and friends on A Prairie Home Companion.
Unless this one is.
I just can’t decide.
Hello, world! This blog began on September 28, 2007, and so far nobody has come looking for me
with tar and feathers.
On my honor, I will do my best not to bore you. All comments are welcome
as long as your discourse is civil and your language is not blue.
Happy reading, and come back often!
And whether my cup is half full or half empty, fill my cup, Lord.

Technically speaking, Christmas ends on 5th January which is Twelfth Night.
ReplyDeleteJust saying.
Shooting Ian, you are of course, absolutely right. In a manner of speaking, so am I.

ReplyDeleteHeard both of these when broadcast and I would have to vote for #1....the "gun" is priceless.
dogcote, glad you liked the post! I see that your blog is all about training Dachshund puppies. Dachshund puppies (well, at least one puppy) and I had a distinct difference of opinion over who should be the alpha male in the house. And even though he was a Valentine's Day present to Mrs. RWP and we named him Rudolph Valentino, we gave him away to a nice lady who already had three other Dachshunds and a fenced back yard. That is how I deal with Dachshunds. Mainly because Mrs. RWP said either Rudy or I had to go.
ReplyDeleteSo I don't really need your blog at this time. We have a lovely, super, Havanese dog now who is just about perfect.
