Does a word ever pop into your head for no reason that you can fathom other than the sheer beauty of the sound of it?
What I’m saying is, sometimes a word pops into my head for no reason that I can fathom other than the sheer beauty of the sound of it.
Yesterday, out of the blue, these were the words:
compendium
duplicitous
mahogany
lothario
antimacassar
pendulum
I can hardly wait to discover what words will find me today.
Hello, world! This blog began on September 28, 2007, and so far nobody has come looking for me
with tar and feathers.
On my honor, I will do my best not to bore you. All comments are welcome
as long as your discourse is civil and your language is not blue.
Happy reading, and come back often!
And whether my cup is half full or half empty, fill my cup, Lord.

I agree with you about loving the sound of words, but being a synesthete, I also love their colors. You say those words came out of the blue, but of those words, only the word "lothario" is blue.
