Thou, O Lord, Are a Shield For Me (5:37)
Song of Moses (7:39)
Worthy Is the Lamb (5:39)
It sure felt like being in church to me.
Hello, world! This blog began on September 28, 2007, and so far nobody has come looking for me
with tar and feathers.
On my honor, I will do my best not to bore you. All comments are welcome
as long as your discourse is civil and your language is not blue.
Happy reading, and come back often!
And whether my cup is half full or half empty, fill my cup, Lord.

Remembrance of things past (show-biz edition) and a few petty gripes
Some performing groups came in twos (the Everly Brothers, the Smothers Brothers, Les Paul & Mary Ford, Steve Lawrence and Edyie Gormé, ...
I do sincerely hope the reason you couldn't be in church today was not because you are unwell... ?
ReplyDeleteThe Lamb certainly is worthy but so are the Beef and the Chicken. Sorry you couldn't make your habitual Sunday visit to church. Maybe next weekend?
ReplyDeleteSounds appropriate to me! Hope you're not ill.
ReplyDeleteIs it your health which kept you out of church? I hope not. I really, really hope not.
ReplyDeleteAll, I was not unwell but I am not officially well yet, either. I am still officially recuperating. This was the fifth Sunday in a row that I have been out of church, but I do hope to be back at the Yamaha Clavinova with chime, piano, and pipe organ settings at the ready next Sunday morning. Thanks to all of for asking, even the person who doesn't know when something he thinks is funny is not funny.
ReplyDeleteall of you for asking
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you're taking your recuperation seriously, and resting well, and hope you'll be be back with the congregation asap *smiles.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, thank you! I hope so, too.
ReplyDeletehow come not the norman mabernacle choir?????????
ReplyDeletePutz, the norman mabernacle choir had a previous engagement. Actgually it was norman himself who got engaged to one of the osmond family's many offspring's many offspring. A lottery has now begun in utahr as to whether the progeny of their alliance will be a little bit country or a little bit rock and roll.
ReplyDeleteActgually? Surely you mean actually Bob? And who on earth is " the person who doesn't know when something he thinks is funny is not funny"? By the way, I hope you giggled at my meat joke!
ReplyDeleteYorkie Pud, "Actgually" was my special tribute to Putz's delightful and innovative spelling, a nod in his direction. The unfunny funny person reference was a nod in your direction. But you knew that. Not all of us are dunces out here in blogland. Some of us are, to be sure, but not all of us.
ReplyDeleteNot all that glitters is gold, either, but some of it is.
