Here are some mangled aphorisms I have stumbled upon over the years: 1. If you can keep your head when all anout you are losing thei...
That looks good! Your daughter is sure lucky to have a have a husband that cooks like that! I hope your holiday week is going well!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, (1) It was good! (2) She says food is his love language. (3) it is! We have seen two-thirds of the family and will see the remaining one-third later this week.
DeleteIt sounds good. I hope there were leftovers for another night.
ReplyDeleteSue, it was very good! As it was a 9-lb. spiral-cut Smithfield ham, there are several meals left including breakfasts with eggs, and sandwiches! The peach cobbler, alas, has completely disappeared. I forgot to mention that there was also a large bowl of pasta salad with tomatoes and black olives, and we are still enjoying that. Some of the sweet potatoes, green beans, and macaroni and cheese are leftover as well, but the ham will last the longest.
DeleteYUM!!
ReplyDeletekylie, INDEED!!
DeleteThat looks very restrained and tasty.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I worked in Florida or Maine I had to ask for child's portions. This looks just the right size, assuming it isn't just a starter.
Adrian, I agree that many American restaurants overdo it on portions and a lot of food ends up being wasted. On the other hand, there are some very expensive restaurants that serve microscopic portions.
DeleteHey, where did the French come from?
ReplyDeleteRed, that’s an easy one. France.
DeleteI would have enjoyed that.
ReplyDeleteGraham, if you leave home now there may still be some left when you arrive.
DeleteKing Wenceslas never had it so good. It looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteEmma, it was definitely yummy. Sadly, though, there was no snow that lay round about, deep and crisp and even.
DeleteSans le jambon s'il vous plait. Je suis végétarien.
ReplyDeleteTasker, certainement, mon ami.
DeleteYour meal looks delicious. I'm glad you were able to be with family for Christmas. Hope the New Year will be full of blessings for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteKathy, it was as delicious as it looks! We were able to be with two-thirds of our family over two successive days, and we hope to be with the remaining one-third later this week. Being with family is one of the best blessings.
