Mrs. RWP (the lovely Ellie) and I received our flu vaccinations and COVID vaccinations this afternoon.
We have had an
The two most recent Jeopardy! answers that I knew and the contestants didn't were "What is buckaroo?" and "What is ballyhoo?"
The University of Alabama footbal team, ranked #1 in the nation, has been defeated by two teams from the neighboring state of Tennessee this season, first by Nashville's Vanderbilt University two weeks ago and then by Knoxville's University of Tennessee today. Tuscaloosa is not a happy place right now.
A roundabout is being built at the entrance to our subdivision (British, neighbourhood), so it is not a happy place right now either.
Let the commenting begin.
I am very glad that Ellie is getting better. It must have been a worrying time for you.
ReplyDeleteWorrying is putting it mildly. I was petrified, mostly because of the strangeness of it all, the uncertainty as to what was causing it, and the possibility of losing her. Thank you, Sue.
DeleteA friend of mine had some serious heart issues which took a bit of detective work to understand. At one point she was told it was a virus and she would be ok. When she went to a different hospital she was told she needed a pacemaker. It doesn't help me to have faith in doctors :)
ReplyDeleteI hope Mrs RWP only improves.
Speaking as an Australian, I would have thought "neighbourhood" to be very American and sub-division much more Aussie/ British
Well, our faith is in the Lord, but I know what you mean. Fortunately, her surgeon was excellent, just confused like the rest of us.
DeleteI didn’t check anything before saying “neighborhood” so you may well be right. I was guessing, which is (a) unlike me and (b) always risky. Old age is having its effect. Thank you, kylie.
Nope, never heard sub-division in Britain Kylie.
ReplyDeleteSo I was right, then, albeit accidentally. Thank you, Rachel.
DeleteAre you having a sleepless night Bob? It seems that you are up with this post in the middle of it.
ReplyDeleteYes. Most unusual. Thank yo for noticing, Rachel.
DeleteI hope you dear wife is soon better. Gall bladder removal and teeth chattering and shivers sound like a strange combination to me.
ReplyDeleteI will explain more in my next post. Thank you, Rachel.
DeleteI hope your wife continues to improve - that is, your wife's health. I'm sure Ellie doesn't need any improvement!
ReplyDeleteHer health is improving every single day. We are now finding out what she should eat and what she needs to avoid, low-fat foods being the former and egg yolks being among the latter. Other than making a few dietary changes, Ellie is just about perfect, imho. Thank you, Janice.
ReplyDeleteEllie will be so happy her pesky gallbladder is gone. She will probably have a bit more energy too. I hope she recovers quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe are already seeing glimpses of what her new, stronger, happier, post-gallbladder life will be like. Thank you for your encouraging words, Emma.
