Wherever you ultimately decide to go, let me be the first to wish you Bon Voyage!
I remember the first time I came across familiar names in unfamiliar locations (only in UK) when I was very young and wondered if my world had shrunk!
ReplyDeleteTo a very large extent the world HAS shrunk! And in many ways it is more confusing than ever before. Thank you, Janice.
DeleteI think I'll stay home with my feet up.
ReplyDeleteYour get up and go apparently got up and went! Thank you, Emma.
DeleteIm staying put for now!
ReplyDeleteI remember reading about Lebanon and wondering why everything in the context seemed to be American.
It shouldn't have been so surprising, really. Australia has dozens of places named after European counterparts
The surprise ought not to be that naming places after other places happens but that it doesn’t happen more often. A whole post could be made about “New” this it that, from New York to New South Wales. Maybe I will do that one day. Thank you, kylie!
