I am in shock
Thanks to the Los Angeles Times, which does not, the last time I looked, have a conservative editorial policy, I am in shock as a result of reading the following story and seeing the photographs that accompany it:

I'm all for showing respect, but that goes just a bit too far.

ReplyDeleteSissy - A bow shows deference to a superior, not just "respect." As two heads of state, Obama and Akihito are equals. No one needs to be showing deference to the other, as a subject would to the ruler of his country. Also, as free and independent people, Americans need bow to no one.
