Kondar-ol’s name in Tuvan is Ондар Коңгар-оол. I’m given to understand that the name Kondar-ol translates to “loud boy” and, boy, is he ever.

Kondar's voice is amazing. We mustn't laugh at it because I am sure it is part of a non-western singing tradition that reaches far back in time. With regard to Kongar-ol Ondar's outfit, it would suit you fine as you sit on the porch you've just built, playing your Alabamian banjo while you survey your brand new chewing tobacco plantation...and Miss Ellie would appear in the doorway, "Can I git you something Misser Bob?"
