Hello, world! This blog began on September 28, 2007, and so far nobody has come looking for me
with tar and feathers.
On my honor, I will do my best not to bore you. All comments are welcome
as long as your discourse is civil and your language is not blue.
Happy reading, and come back often!
And whether my cup is half full or half empty, fill my cup, Lord.

Post-election thoughts
Here are some mangled aphorisms I have stumbled upon over the years: 1. If you can keep your head when all anout you are losing thei...
Oh dear, so sorry. Having beeen down this path twice in the last year I know just how you must be feeling.
ReplyDeleteI am SO sorry! Hugs to you and Mrs. RWP.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry - it's hard to lose one of our four-legged babies.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Jethro has gone.
ReplyDeleteMay you be at peace with it as well, Robert.
ReplyDeleteI still get choked up when I look at pictures of my little doxie, Dusty. Now my lap is filled with Mattie the chihuahua whom I love just as dearly with an entirely different part of my heart. My heartfelt sympathy to both you & the Mrs. as you adjust to your loss and may just the right little new friend come along to entertain & delight you.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that. Our dog Jack is now close to 15 years old and we've been steeling ourselves against the inevitable for the last three of them!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, RWP. May you be comforted by your memories!
ReplyDeleteThank you, everyone, for your condolences.
ReplyDeleteDear Aunt Ellie & Uncle Bob
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I'm so sorry to hear about Jethro. I also want to apologize for not getting back to you but its been really hectic around here. I know that's not much of an excuse but it is the truth. Just remember you gave Jethro your love, attention and anything else he needed. He is now in heaven with Gigi and all his other siblings. I love you both very much,,,,,,,, Love, Rhonda
Thank you, Rhonda. We love you too. Jethro was a great pet.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. You and I have both lost a dog this year, but at least I have a cat left, and I must confess that he's a whole lot easier than a dog, especially the self-cleaning feature and the litter-box feature.
ReplyDeleteYour doggie sure was cute. I knew he had been sick, but had thought that he was all better.
