Hello, world! This blog began on September 28, 2007, and so far nobody has come looking for me
with tar and feathers.
On my honor, I will do my best not to bore you. All comments are welcome
as long as your discourse is civil and your language is not blue.
Happy reading, and come back often!
And whether my cup is half full or half empty, fill my cup, Lord.

Here are some mangled aphorisms I have stumbled upon over the years: 1. If you can keep your head when all anout you are losing thei...
Have any miracles occurred?
ReplyDeleteEmma, not yet.
DeleteI hate to tell you, Robert. Mother Theresa is long gone. And the dawg is better looking
ReplyDeletekylie, Sister Mary Abigail was only pretending to be Mother Teresa.
DeleteMother Teresa reportedly died in 1997. I guess that saints are first in line when it comes to resurrection.
ReplyDeleteYorkshire Pudding, saints (in the general sense of all believers, not just beatified and canonised ones) are all in line together. There is no "first" except that Saint Paul told the Corinthians that the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised, be raised incorruptible (I'm hearing Handel), then we who are alive shall be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, and be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air, and thus shall we ever be with the Lord.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, all the dead rise at once; there is no "first in line"....
Note. Only God knows who the "we" are, as the wheat and tares grow together now until the harvest at the end of the world, at which time they will be separated by the angels.
The word of God for the people of God.
Thanks be to God.
